Home is where the heart it...

Well, have not posted lately. Been busy.

Left Monticello, KY at 6AM on Saturday with a truck load of memories, all good. We had to leave before everyone was up as we had to be in Lexington, TN to visit with my friend. All were asleep as we departed.

We were going thru Nashville and could not pass up the opportunity to check out Music Row and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Pictures will be posted later. :) We arrived in Lexington at 12:30 and promptly took off to have lunch at a catfish restuarant that was good. It is called the Catfish Cabin and is owned by Carl Perkins. Then, off to a mall to listen to a brother who plays there. Nothing fancy, a small stage, speakers, microphones and good music. He is VERY talented. Here is his website. http://www.juneswebs.com/WestsMusic/

He and his wife perform around the Jacksonville area. He has played behind some of the biggest names in the music business. The website also has a bio on how he came into the truth.

When we first came up we stopped in Lexington and took some watermelon to KY with us. Some of the best watermelon in ages!! Sweet!! and BIG!! Well, I could not go back home without buying some, six of them!! They are in the back of my truck, secure and tempting me! Oh, btw, wife is driving and I am on the PC, we are somewhere close to Little Rock on Highway 40W.

Sunday we went to the meeting with my friend and he gave the talk. Really warm congregation!! Went out to eat Chinese afterwards then home to rest a bit and chat with my friend.

My friend? Gene Wilson, and his lovely wife, Chuddie Wilson. They were our hosts and they were great. Gene, if you are reading this, THANKS TO YOU AND CHUDDIE FOR EVERYTHING!

Where are the pictures you ask? They are in my camera. I will try to download them to my pc a bit later and hopefully post them. If not, when I get home. :)

That is it for now!

Enjoy!
