Well, despite rain delays the put up the third part of the structure today!
The rains have come...and come...and the retention pond is doing its job. Fancy a swim anyone?
One of the cranes used on the project
Something caught their interest!!!
"I tells ya...the guy behind you is NOT an authorized media person! HE HAS NO BADGE!!".
What? Me worry? No beam fallen yet!
A gaggle of onlookers. Since they cannot be near the slab or the cranes, they take the time to take in the view of the work being done. NO ONE BROUGHT COFFEE OR DONUTS???
Beam going into place
"We have a cart and you don't!" Well...my truck is behind you!! :)
Our ever present Safety personnel making sure everyone stays out of harms way.
Nice view no?
Who is the guy in that crane anyways? Didn't you hire him? No...didn't you??
The gaggle again...soon to be joined by more
Twittering? Texting? Making sure all the friends know how things are going at the site!!
Workers...these guys are good!
They handle dangerous assignments very well..and safely!+6
Close up view of the beam...The rains came...and came. When I left yesterday it was pouring. Got to my house, 20 miles away, and dry. Went to the project site today, cloudy and they were getting ready to put up the final beam. Shooting from the top of the trailer was not an option as there was no good view. So, took my equipment to the south end to get a better view and shoot pictures and video. Good move on my part..I ain't so dumb after all! (careful out there!! I can hear you!).
Around 1:30PM the skies opened up again the rains came down again. I had to take care of things at home so I left. Tomorrow is another day! Progress may not be as fast but we are getting there!
:)
