Cleaning upOk...bad puns all the way around. We had and are having large groups of volunteers assisting, especially on the weekends. We have work going on in the residence building, maintenance building, lobby. There are more murals going up. The parking lot is going on full force..perhaps by next week it will be completely finished...only thing left will be striping the parking spaces. Some landscaping is being done..but minimal. Lots of painting..all these guys in white suits..why do painters wear white? The air conditioners, well two of the big ones, were turned on. They have to "dry" out the foundation so that the carpet can be laid and then the chairs come in.
So, we start a new week. Already we have had close to 70,000 volunteers pass thru the our scanners. Imagine that...70,000! Individual volunteers? Over 4,500! The end is closer in sight..mixed emotions on that point.
Until Tuesday1
