On April 25th representatives from the LDC and overseers from RBC #5 met at the Robstown Kingdom Hall. The meeting was to advise the RBC of what the future held. RBCs have for all practical purposes, have ceased to exist. Many of the brothers and sisters have been with RBC#5 since it was created. Some, like myself, have been working with the RBC program since 1983.
It was a sad meeting, there were tears. But, the end of the RBC program does not mean the end of construction work. In fact, the work has increased. The need for full time workers is at all time high. Construction work is now not regional but world wide.
The LDC representative said that now, more than ever, there is a need for volunteers. Volunteers will be full time or part time. There will be also volunteers need to maintain the Assembly Halls (currently there is training going on in La Feria) and Kingdom Halls.
So, it is not goodby. It will be a new beginning, a work that will carry on to the new order.
