Koko Head Wins

Hawaii is home to many mongoose(s) or mongeese? They were brought here to eliminate the snake problem on the island. Supposedly they did there job and there are no snakes on the island. How can they be sure? Don't know but that is what they state. This one was one of three we saw who were attacking a garbage can for food now that they proved to be too efficient at weeding out snakes. See what good work gets you?
This is the path up to Koko Head. Our plans were to climb all the way to the top for one of the best views of the island. Gravity and age have a way of taking their toll on us and we made it about 1/4 of the way before giving up. We were further shamed by this older gentleman who was climbing up backwards! Seriously!! Another lady jogged up. Oh well. Next time. I got some postcards of the view from the top which will suffice. At least I did not get a heart attack.
This is a picture on the bathroom wall at Sandy Beach. Neat no?
One of the scenic views near Koko Head. Really scenic shot.

Well, another day ends for these intrepid travelers. We were provided with a vehicle to drive around today and that is what we did. We went around the island again and just cruised. The northern part is really beautiful with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. The mountains and valleys are breathtaking. I know I took some pics of these, will look for them.

We went to our final meeting, the bookstudy, tonight. We won't be going to a school/service meeting as they have their circuit assembly this weekend. We played Scatagories after the book study. That was fun.

Tomorrow is another day, plans are to travel to Pearl Harbor and the flea market. Then at night go out to hear a brother and his band.

Hasta luego!
