Gavin/RosieRosie was in my congregation in the 70s. She was a kid back then...I was a teenager. She married Gavin...who is the son of Jack and Pat...and who served with me in Edinburg back in the 80s. Now, he is in Chichuahua, MX serving at an English congregation there.
Jack and I worked together in Volunteer Service when we were all part of RBC 3. He was the overseer, I was his assistant. Lots of good memories there.
Jim/Cindy are from RBC 3. We kinda knew each other...Cindy worked in the drink trailer, Jim in the Safety. After RBC 5 was formed in 1995 we did not see much of each other. The assembly hall project brought us back together. We have become close friends.
Dave/Pat are new friends having got to know each other at the project. He is from Jim/Cindy's congregation in Bandera. In fact, Jack/Pat, Jim/Cindy, Dave/Pat are from the same congregation.
Jason/Cathy are from the RBC I belong to, #5. We go back for many many years, to the early 80s.
This BBQ was not planned..it was impromptu. The best kind. We chatted, laughed, brought up old old memories.
Pat/Dave left Sunday back to Bandera. Jim/Cindy leave Wednesday. Jason/Cathy are here for about one more month..he is doing punchout.
Good memories being made.
Enjoy!!!
